The NCBS Research Ethics Committee (NCBS-REC), established in 2024, is a dynamic and responsive body committed to safeguarding ethical standards in health and biomedical research. Operating within the Ndola Teaching Hospital premises, the Committee ensures that all submitted proposals meet both regulatory and scientific benchmarks. Known for its timely feedback, NCBS-REC provides researchers with clear, actionable responses—typically within five working days—thereby supporting efficient project initiation and ethical compliance.

Required Documents for Ethical Clearance Researchers seeking approval must submit the following:
- Full Research Proposal
- Valid NHRA Certificate (Researcher)
- Proof of Payment
- Institutional Permissions (where applicable)
- Information Sheet
- Consent Form
- Assent Form (if applicable)
- Data Collection Tools
